Antique Sugar, a vintage clothing store has gone viral for its mandatory sign on wearing of a mask
Co-Owner of the store, Sarah Bingham shared a pic of the sign placed outside the clothing store after coming across stubborn clients who argued about having to put on face masks inside the store.
‘If you choose not to put on a mask, we respectfully ask that you postpone your visitation. We’ll be glad to debate the efficiency of masks with you when this is all over and you come in to sell out your d**d grandma’s clothes.’ The sign with a conclusion: ‘Mask required’ reads.
Sharing the sign to Facebook, Bingham wrote: ‘Too dark?’ And soon after sharing the sign, it was reposted on several media pages, where of course has garnered thousands of reactions – an estimated 80k retweets and 350k likes.
Sarah admitted that the store initially had a much welcoming sign that reads: ‘Thanks for wearing a mask. Help us to stay healthy so we can stay open for you.’ But did felt there’s a need for change when people started coming in and arguing with her about wearing facemasks.
While a few agreed with Sarah’s tactic, some others, however, have accused the store owner of being insensitive. Nevertheless, Arizona has been recording highs for new pandemic cases and deaths. The deadly virus is spreading fast, hence it’s best for its residents to keep safe and assist in containing the spread.
